Watching "Ghost in the Shell", the original. Dated, yes, lots of mullets and puffy jackets, but animated boobs never go out of style. The movie features a stunningly intense opening credit sequence that's very inspiring in it's capacity to grab the viewer by the shoulders and shake 'em up.
And of course it's very much the sci-fi design that has inspired the genre following.
